2011 Dodge Durango Crash Rating

The 2011 Dodge Durango has joined the elite rankings of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety top safety pick award.

This means the Dodge Durango 7 passenger SUV scored at least a good rating from several of the crash tests that included the front, rollover, rear and the side crash test.

It’s not alone though, there are several other SUVS with this status. The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Charger, Avenger, Jeep Patriot and the Dodge Journey.

Here is the crash test video below. I’m impressed by the airbags every time I see them, they’re amazing at how well they work. Look at the picture above, his head would have hit glass and the car door support post but instead it was greated with a nice white pillow of safety.
